taoist inspired poetry

a journey through inspiring and mediocre moments of contemplation
Poetry as a spiritual practice
Writing taoist inspired poetry is a spiritual practice, rather than a creative one. Poetry which has no literary purpose bypasses the left brain, and the inner editor who judges the quality or coherency of what I write.
The result is that through the ritual of poetry, if I am very still, and if I listen very carefully, I am able to touch the part of me that is inherently wise.
Tao Moments is the result of these meditations. Sometimes deep and thought provoking. Sometimes confused. Sometimes wise. Sometimes inane and nonsensical. But in each moment, that is the way...
Poetry Blog
This poetry blog is (mostly) unedited and unabridged (but seriously, I admit that when I'm posting it on the website I take out the really bad bits, and leave in the vaguely interesting lines).
I also noticed that I have a lot of "do"s, "need"s and "should"s, but that is not the essence of tao. They are reminders to myself about what I know I should be doing, and what I need to be doing at any particular moment in time. They are for no-one else's benefit, but my own. They are certainly not admonitions about what anyone else should be doing, or not doing.
