not wanting

my life is harmony

I try to listen
so I can hear

I clear my mind
so I can be
I clear my heart

in my emptiness
I am full

emptiness is my nature
no need to fill the emptiness
it just is

The heart
a vessel for love
the soul
a vessel for truth
the mind
an emptiness without need of filling

in emptiness there is promise
in emptiness there is potential
the blank page
contains all possibilities

expectant like the hush before dawn
silence before the storm
the bowl awaiting the first drop of rain

empty ourselves
we are limitless
